Personal Information
When you create an account using Apple Sign-In, we collect your name and email address.
Account Data
We store a username used to identify and manage your account within the App.
Usage Data
We collect data about how you use the App, including:
- Progress in vocabulary learning sessions
- Quiz and exercise scores
- Time spent in the App
- Languages you are learning
- Words and flashcards you create
Device Information
We collect your device type and operating system version via Apple’s Authentication API.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Personalize your learning experience and adapt content to your level
- Improve App functionality and performance
- Provide customer support
- Analyze usage trends to develop new features
- Send you reminders and notifications related to your learning schedule (spaced repetition intervals)
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers listed in the Third-Party Services section below, as required to operate the App
- When legally required, such as in response to a court order or government request
- With your consent, for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in the following ways:
- Locally on your device using SwiftData (Apple’s on-device database framework)
- In Firebase (Google Cloud) for account data, synced progress, and backup
- In iCloud associated with your Apple ID, for word data and progress sync across your devices
Account authentication tokens and credentials are stored securely in your device’s Keychain using Apple’s Authentication API. We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
Retention: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. See Your Rights below for deletion options.
Children’s Privacy
ProWord may be used by individuals under 13 with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@oleksi.dev and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You may contact us to request information about the data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update your account information within the App settings.
- Deletion: To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at support@oleksi.dev with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Portability: To request an export of your data, contact us at support@oleksi.dev.
We are continuously working to expand in-app tools for data access and deletion to comply with GDPR and CCPA requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
